A food diary that predicts your energy for the hours ahead, running entirely on your iPhone with no account and no server.

Energycast is a food diary with a forecast on top. Log a meal, a coffee or a drink and one predicted energy curve redraws for the next eight hours, so the afternoon dip shows up while it is still lunchtime. Underneath sits a full diary: calories against a goal, macros, water and streaks. It has no account, no cloud and no analytics, because it has no server. Photo and text reading happen on the device using Apple's on-device models, and a built in list of 346 everyday foods works offline. Free to use, with an optional Pro subscription.

Most food diaries record the past. Energycast models what happens next: meals, caffeine, alcohol, workouts and sleep all feed one curve and interact on it, so a coffee can be seen masking a lunch dip and then wearing off at the same time as it. A one tap check in tells the app how you actually feel, and the prediction re-anchors toward that, so it calibrates to the person rather than to an average. The architecture is the other half of the story. There is no backend at all. A user's diary never leaves their phone, the AI features run locally, and the only network request the app can make is an optional barcode lookup that sends a barcode and nothing else.

Energycast produces estimates for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device, it makes no diagnosis, and it should not be described as one. The curve is a prediction from what someone logs, not a measurement of their body.
